Sinigang

An all-time favourite, defined by its warmth and comforting broth with an abundance of overflowing vegetables. This mural captures that generosity through a composition dominated by towering cabbages, with their layered leaves infolding like a landscape. Surrounding it, sampalok (tamarind) anchors the flavour, expressing the dish’s rich sweet-sour character. while the tomatoes roll through the composition and the large chillies are pushing outward, escaping through the gaps between each leaf. The scene reflects the act of cooking sinigang, wild, full and in motion, evoking celebration and resilience.
